How long has it been since you looked at your e-mails that your send out to your clients?

Six months? Has it been 12 months, longer? NEVER?  Now could be the time for a review, because although its not the most recent, greatest technology, Emails are still exceedingly effective. That hasn’t changed. However, the way to utilize them and the way that they are viewed, has.

The big change is due to portable devices. Now over 50% your e-mails are viewed on a cellular phone instead of a regular computer.  This trend shows no sign of changing! Mix this with the proven fact that all of us are peppered by so many e-mails, everyone has to be selective on which e-mails are opened.

Have you prepared for this change? For most companies, the answer is no.

Currently, all most businesses do is send “the our promotion of the week” mails. Not surprising the majority of the people on email lists like this ultimately back out or stop opening their emails.

Let us take a fast look on the way to get your emails up to date.

To maintain, grow and profit from your list, all it takes is a little creativity. Ask if your consumer would be attracted by your email and its title. Like all marketing, it must have benefit to them, not another feature of the business.

For your purchaser to open your emails, you need to think like your customers and ask WIIFM “What’s in it for me!

So here are a couple of little known strategies on using Asheville Email Marketing

Asheville Email Marketing1. Use pdf attachments.

What if your business has a listing of services? Though you suspect your clients know all of the things that you do, they probably don’t.

You could send out this list with an offer or promotion on new services. They could print and have available at any time or better yet, use it as a coupon.

*Some email filters can block attachments so it might also be a good idea to list the contents inside the email also.

*When sending attachments of any type, realize your open rates will be less because some people are hesitant to open any emails with attachments. This technique is best on after one or two e-mails and your clients trust you.

2. Offer polls.

Everybody likes to supply their opinion. Email can be set up to have your customers vote on a poll of your choosing by clicking a straightforward tab. You then use the info to your benefit.

Maybe your own customers will actually tell you what to sell or do next.

3. Offer Surveys

Similar to above but in greater detail. Thinking about launching a new service. Why not learn if your clients really need it and would actually use it?

4. Offer contests

What if you sent out an e-mail with a phone number that when they called went to a recorded message describing the challenge. They listened to the message about your new service or product first and then were entered in the contest. You had a drawing for the winner of all who called.

5. Refer new clients

Are you offering incentives to your current customers if they refer you new business.

6. Video e-mails

Are you offering links in your email to your videos? Many people would prefer video to text.

7. Send promotion codes

If you sell online, you have the capacity to accept promo vouchers for special discounts. Use these and watch sale explode.

8. Consider that your email will be read on a cell phone.

Try and keep it simple and short and to the point.

These are just a few ideas, remember with a little creativeness e-mail marketing is exceedingly powerful.

I am hope these quick tips are helpful. Good luck on your next e-mail.
